| Art
Factory was established
by Nate Buker and June
Hankins -- making their public debut at Detroit's
Dally In The Alley, September 10, 2005
presenting prototype apparel and accessory designs.
Nate
is known as a musician, sound engineer
and for his overflowing drawers of punk and countercultural T-shirts.
Coming from a background in offset printing Nate brings an educated
understanding of color and design into Art Factory's production
process.
June
is known as a seamstress and the
proprietor of the legendary Curly's
Boutique and Gallery (1990-1996). Her sense of style and
whimsical left-field humor finds
it's expression in many Art Factory designs. Her experience in
business, finance and retail makes
her the ultimate customer-service representative.
The paired
talents of these two creative personalities blend
naturally into the demands of the business. The result
is that Art Factory clients receive the
benefit of a shared enthusiasm for exactly the things that
keep them coming back.
